Where I choose to Stand

I recently read this comment on the Free North Carolina blog.:

I know Dyer, proudly. A friend and I went a couple of years ago, met he and his family not long after he was released from the Corp; at his families home in Duncan, OK. He is a genuine man, and his family is as good as gold.

Dyer is being railroaded, because without a doubt he was the most effective speaker for the then "Patriot Cause" that was steadily gaining momentum. He alone was fueling it. Plus he was willing to do whatever it took to move forward. He was a true threat.

I know, without a shadow of doubt in my mind, that the charges are complete BS. I would stand beside him to this day.

While I never had the chance to meet July 4 Patriot, I to would and will stand by him to this day and beyond. He has yet to be sentenced. That will occur on June 5th, 2012. If at all possible I will try to attend. When the facts are added up in this case, they stink. I think about how easily this could be any one of the Patriots out there speaking their mind, standing up for Liberty and Freedom. I have seen how the court system works in this country. Innocent until proven guilty has been DOA for a long time now. With one accusation you can ruin someones life. I think to myself that with all we know TPTB are capable of and willing to do to achieve their ends, is this so far fetched? I answer myself absolutely not, on the contrary this despicable downright disgusting behavior and perversion of justice is exactly what I would expect. It shows to me more than ever that "The Firm League of Friendship" the founders spoke of is desperately needed on so many levels. While we may not all agree on what the vision of our nation should be, we can all back each other up, and not let the outside forces influence our pact.

I am reminded of what happens when the call of aid to Patriots goes unanswered:

Fellow citizens and compatriots;
I am besieged, by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna. I have sustained a continual Bombardment and cannonade for 24 hours and have not lost a man. The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise, the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken. I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, and our flag still waves proudly from the walls. I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch. The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily and will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible and die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country. Victory or Death.
William Barret Travis
Lt. Col. Comdt.
P.S. The Lord is on our side. When the enemy appeared in sight we had not three bushels of corn. We have since found in deserted houses 80 or 90 bushels and got into the walls 20 or 30 head of Beeves.

    Absolutely and we obviously have to be very, very careful concerning what we do.
